Who we are
Wimbledon Removals is the data controller for information you send through this website. Our contact address for data protection matters is hello@wimbledon-removals.uk.
What we collect
When you complete the quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses, your preferred moving date if you give one, and whatever you write in the notes. If you email us, we hold the contents of that email.
The quote form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA. Google receives technical information about the request in order to distinguish a person from an automated submission, subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms.
Managing agents, freeholders and the council
A great deal of work in SW19 requires us to deal with somebody else on your behalf: a managing agent who wants insurance documents, a concierge who controls the lift, or the council in respect of a parking bay suspension.
Where you ask us to handle that, we share only what those parties need — typically your name, the address, and the date. We do not share your phone number, your email address or anything from your notes unless you have asked us to, and we do not discuss your move with neighbours or other residents.
Why we hold it
To prepare and send a quote, and to organise the move if you go ahead. That is our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started, and where you book, our performance of a contract with you.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to, and we do not sell or pass them to lead-generation companies.
Who else sees it
Our own staff and crew, and our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf under contract. If your move involves a storage facility or a partner crew at the delivery end, we share only what they need to do the work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are plainly stale. Completed jobs are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, insurance and claims purposes, and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@wimbledon-removals.uk and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. reCAPTCHA sets cookies necessary for its anti-abuse function when you use the quote form.
Changes
If we change this policy the updated version appears on this page.
