The same work, surveyed for two different problems
Nothing here is unusual as a service. What is unusual is being asked, before anything else, which end of the hill you are on — because that is what actually determines the day.
The jobs we get asked for
A flat in a block
Lift booked, insurance certificate sent to the managing agent, communal route agreed and protected before anybody carries anything through it.
A converted terrace
Where the half-landing turn decides everything. We measure it at the survey and tell you before the day if something will not go.
Part-loads and single items
A wardrobe up to the Village or a sofa out of a mansion block, quoted as the job it is rather than as a small house move.
Packing and careful handling
A full pack, a part pack of the fragile and awkward things, or materials dropped off. Period and antique wrapping is standard rather than an upgrade.
Storage across a gap
A chain that has not lined up, a refurbishment, or a property let out for part of the year. Sealed once and delivered when you are ready.

Lift bookings, insurance certificates for managing agents, and advice on bay suspensions in good time to arrange one.

Period and antique wrapping
Higher-grade protection for old furniture as a matter of course rather than as a paid upgrade. Up the hill it is most of the load.

Dismantling and reassembly
Beds, wardrobes and flat-pack, with fixings bagged and labelled to the item. Including the things that were built in the room.

Storage across a gap
Sealed once and delivered when you are ready, whether the gap is a chain, a refurbishment or a let.
Start from where you are
Each position is limited by something different.
- Wimbledon Village Access, not volume. A Village house frequently has more room inside it than the road outside has, and everything about the day follows from that.
- The Ridgway and the Common edge Carrying distance. Everything here is further from the road than it looks, and pricing that honestly at the survey is the whole trick.
- Wimbledon Town Permission. Almost everything here depends on somebody else saying yes — the council, the managing agent, the neighbours — and all of it takes arranging in advance.
- The Park and Southfields side The calendar. This is the only part of the hill where the time of year materially changes what is possible, and it is worth checking before you fix a date.
Where we work
The whole of Wimbledon and the parts of Merton around it. The delivery end can be anywhere in the country — a good proportion of moves out of SW19 are going a long way rather than round the corner.
